Make the most of Spring conditions at Whakapapa ski area with its incredible snow play options, sledging, learn to ski in Happy Valley or hit it up on the slopes. Spring is the perfect time to visit as the temperature is getting warmer and the snow a little softer making it the perfect snowy playground.
Make sure you check out the all new Sky Waka sightseeing Gondola and stop in at the Knoll Ridge Cafe to soak up one of the most iconic views in the area, it is a must see.
The Landing is Taupo’s newest all weather activity centre. It features 10 bowling lanes, a trampoline park, ninja course and indoor playground. Head to the DropZone and bounce, play and bowl a day away! Booking is essential as the place fulls up especially on a rainy day.
Getting out on the Lake is one of the top activities to make the most of the Great Lake, check out our friends at Chris Jolly Outdoors and a family cruise out to the Maori rock carvings. They also have great fishing options if you are looking for a little bit more, you cannot beat the great lake on a sunny blue sky day.
We are so lucky to have so many fantastic walking and bike tracks in Taupo that suit all levels of experience.
